About

I’m Cher Gleeson

I am a multidisciplinary artist passionate about fostering creativity, collaboration, and community impact. My work centres on community arts, where I create and lead projects that inspire connection and spark important conversations. I specialise in photography, art and recycled crafts blending sustainable practices with artistic expression.

I am registered with  The Irish Teaching council and have over 25 years experience in community arts working with all ages and abilities

I am also registered as a tutor with Tipperary Education and Training Board. I also work closely with the Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) and The Teaching Council.

I am available to deliver arts workshops at your location or at Chers Creative Cabin

Collaboration lies at the heart of what I do. I frequently work alongside a diverse range of professionals,  artists, photographers, content creators and mental health advocates, to create projects that empower individuals and communities. Our collaborative works often culminate in impactful exhibitions that address crucial social issues, such as mental health awareness, domestic violence, and other pressing topics.

I believe in art as a tool for activism and change. My workshops encourage participants to engage in international days of action, fostering awareness and advocacy through creative expression.

Whether you’re an artist, activist, or organisation looking to collaborate, I welcome opportunities to co-create projects that make a difference.
